How to Play Among Us

 How to Play Among Us

Among Us is a game about tricking people into voting each other out while killing them off one by one as the imposter, but when you are a crewmate you need to find and eliminate the imposters before they outnumber the crewmates. That is a simplified version of how Among Us works, in reality Among Us is far more complicated than it seems.

How to Play Crewmate

Although some people quit when they are crewmates it's really fun to play as them and here's how to play them. The number one thing to do as crewmate is stick with other people who are proven innocent, ways you can prove you are innocent are doing visual tasks such as med bay scan, emptying waste, the asteroid task and shields. Also if you get killed by an imposter don't tell your friends who it is, it ruins the fun of the game for everyone.

How to Play Imposter

Most people consider impostors to be more fun to play as you are trying to keep your identity hidden while trying to get rid of the crewmates. The main thing imposters can do is kill crewmates, most of the imposters' other traits are designed to help them kill. Vents act as a form of transport for imposters as well as ways for impostors to get away from the site of the murder before anyone spots them. The sabotages all do different things and here are all of them 02, reactor, lights, communications, doors and seismic stabilizers. 02, reactor and seismic stabilizers are all sabotages that need to be fixed or everyone will die. Doors allows you to close doors while communication disables stuff like admin map, cameras and door log. The lights sabotage is the most useful of all of them as it disables the lights for everyone except the impostors allowing them to get far easier kills.

The Skeld

The Skeld is the original Among Us map and is the most balanced for new players but gets easier for more experienced crewmates. The Skeld has four visual tasks, the most of any map, along with that it has a camera system that allows you to view four separate parts of the map from one place. However the camera system has a weakness, people can tell when you are using it.

Mira HQ

At first Mira HQ seems to be easier for crewmates to win but in reality it is most likely the most balanced for experienced players as imposters can quickly travel due to the fact that all the vents are connected but it's easy for the crewmates to stick together in the narrow corridors. Mira HQ has its own security system-the door log. The door log allows people to see who passed over certain sensors and if you're smart enough you can use it to see who the imposter is.

Polus

Polus is the newest map in Among Us and has large open spaces between buildings. At first Polus looks like it's easier for imposters to win with large open spaces between tasks that lie in secluded corners of the map. Polus has a camera system and a vitals monitor that allows you to see when someone dies.

In conclusion Among Us is a great game made by a small team of developers that shows that even small groups can make great and popular games with the help of some people to promote it to a larger audience. Also beware of electrical on The Skeld.
